New Jersey Ballet School, the Official School of New Jersey Ballet Company, Appoints Martin Harvey as Associate Director

New Jersey Ballet School is thrilled to announce the appointment of Martin Harvey as Associate Director. A distinguished professional dancer, actor, and teacher, Mr. Harvey brings a wealth of experience from his illustrious career to New Jersey Ballet.

 

Mr. Harvey trained in the U.K. at the prestigious Royal Ballet School and enjoyed a 15-year career with London's Royal Ballet Company, where he danced numerous principal roles, including Crown Prince Rudolf in Mayerling and Onegin in Onegin. His stage presence extended to the West End, where he portrayed Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing, earning the UK Critics' Circle Spotlight Award. Beyond ballet, Mr. Harvey has appeared in major West End productions like Peter Pan and Oliver, as well as in film and television alongside stars such as Sir Anthony Hopkins, Alan Rickman and William H. Macy. 

 

As New Jersey Ballet School expands its faculty and offerings under the artistic vision of the New Jersey Ballet's Artistic Director, Maria Kowroski, Mr. Harvey's appointment reflects the School's commitment to providing world-class training and nurturing the next generation of dancers.
