General Information

Students will not be admitted to class without proper dance clothing and footwear. Ballet slippers must have elastic and hair must be pinned back securely.

​

Note: Ponytails are not acceptable and bangs must be secured.

​

Ballet Classes

​

Female Dancers All Divisions: Students should choose the color tights and shoes that are closest to their natural skin tone or the color in which they feel most comfortable. Tights and Shoes should match.

​

Note: Ballet attire is made available in the New Jersey Ballet's Boutique.

 

Leotard color below:

​

Intro (Ages 4 - 5) — White (No skirts/tutus)

​

Prep-1 (Ages 6 - 7) — Light Pink (No skirts/tutus)

 

Prep-2 (Ages 8 - 10) — Light Blue (No skirts/tutus)

​

Student Division (All levels Ages 9 - 18) – Black

​

Open Ballet Levels 1 & 2 (Ages 10 - 18) – Black

​

Teen and Adult Division — May choose color and style for leotard. Tights and shoes should match.

 

Boys — White tee-shirt, black shorts/tights, white socks, white or black ballet slippers.

​

Note: Black leotards may be any style (e.g. tank, cap sleeve, long sleeve). Must be a solid color.

​

Girls and Boys—Black, low-heeled, hard-soled tap shoes and dance attire listed above.
