NJ School of Ballet Prepares to Reopen with a Hybrid Schedule in September.
New Jersey School of Ballet is working hard to prepare for the 2020 Fall Season. The School will be implementing new protocols to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
NJSB is preparing a hybrid schedule, which will provide most students the option of taking in-person classes, online classes only, or a blend of in-person and online classes. The School’s phased reopening will require certain levels to remain virtual in the fall. NJSB is continuously monitoring guidance from health officials and will make changes as necessary. A complete fall schedule will be made available by August 26.
Classes will be held at Florham Park and Somerville locations. We will not be conducting classes at the Greater Morristown YMCA until further notice.
Based on current guidelines from the New Jersey Department of Health and the CDC, class sizes will be limited in each studio to maintain social distancing of 6 feet, and masks will be required at all times while inside. For a current list of the policies the School will be instituting, please follow the links below.
Separately, New Jersey Ballet Company will be announcing shortly the cancellation of all Fall 2020 performances, including this year’s highly anticipated 50th Anniversary production of Nutcracker. The health and safety of the artists, staff, and audience members is the Company’s top priority. The Company is planning a virtual presentation celebrating New Jersey Ballet’s Nutcracker. Additional information will be available in the coming weeks, depending on guidance.
We look forward to seeing everyone in September either in person or on Zoom. If you have any questions or concerns, please email email@example.com.
